How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1931 – 18 May 2022

Betty is fondly remembered for being active in a range of peace and human rights activities. Betty was a volunteer with the Victorian Council of Churches (VCC) and was also involved with the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA – formerly ACC) through the Christian World Service (now Act for Peace).

Betty started her ecumenical journey with her involvement in the Australian Student Christian Movement (ACSM) during the 1940s-1950s.

The NCCA recognise with appreciation her life of faithful ecumenical connection within these organisations.

We give thanks to God for her life and service. May she rest in God’s grace and peace.
