Appeal updates from Act for Peace
Gaza – Act for Peace Middle East Appeal
Act for Peace (AFP) welcomed the ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas last week which comes after 15 months of unbearable conflict and devastation in Gaza.
Act for Peace hope the deal is a pathway to a permanent ceasefire solution and ultimately, peace. Their prayer is for the ongoing negotiations to result in a complete end to this brutal war, so over 1.9 million people who have been displaced can finally return safely to their homes.

They call for unrestricted humanitarian access during the six-week ceasefire so civilians can access critical care including food and medical supplies.
Act for Peace continues to support their partner, the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), Department of Service to Palestinian Refugees (DSPR). The humanitarian needs are unimaginable, and DSPR continues to provide critical care for people in Gaza. During the conflict, humanitarian access has been hindered and during ceasefire, unlimited access is vital.
Now is a crucial time to give to the Middle East Appeal, so Act for Peace can continue supporting DSPR’s work in the Middle East, providing critical care to those who need it most.

Vanuatu – Act for Peace Emergency Appeal
Meanwhile, in the Pacific, recovery efforts continue in Vanuatu in the aftermath of the 7.3 magnitude quake which devastated the island nation on December 17, 2024.
The earthquake caused widespread damage and Act for Peace immediately launched an emergency appeal to support our Pacific neighbours and help provide humanitarian assistance for those impacted by the disaster.
All gifts directly support local organisations in Vanuatu, including Act for Peace’s partner Vanuatu Christian Council, (VCC) to provide critical life-saving emergency supplies including food, water and shelter and to help locals rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the disaster.
Thank you for your support.
In caring for humankind together, we’re acting for peace in the world.
