How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Taskforce meets in Melbourne

Taskforce members in Melbourne. February 2025

On the 27 and 28 February, members of the Australian Churches Refugee Taskforce (ACRT), met in a face-to-face meeting at Brunswick Uniting Church, in Melbourne. The taskforce meets virtually each month, and once a year comes together in fellowship, to share and exchange ideas.

A number of guests attended the meeting at different points, including the Merri-Bek Council (Back your neighbour campaign), and James Harris (Common Grace).

Farewell and thank you

Major Karen Elkington

The NCCA would like to thank Major Karen Elkington (The Salvation Army Australia) for her services to the Taskforce as she stands down from her role as Co-chair. We are grateful for her friendship and dedication.

Major Karen shared the role with Rev Sandy Boyce.
