How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Bishop’s Commission for Christian Unity and Inter-religious Dialogue invites all Catholics who are engaged in ecumenical and interfaith activities to attend this  conference.

The Plenary Council of Australia, the Synod of Bishops, and Pope Francis are all calling Catholics to walk synodally i.e. to walk together – with each other, with other Christians, with believers in other religions, with all people of goodwill – and together to promote peace, justice, harmony, the common good of society, and care for our common home, pilgrims journeying together towards the fullness of truth and life.
