How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Earth Day 2025: Our Power, Our Planet – A Faith-Inspired Call for Collective Action.

Communities of Faith can use Earth Action Day to contribute the often overlooked perspective of creation care.

Faith traditions across the world emphasise justice, compassion, and responsibility—values that guide us in addressing the urgent climate crisis. As we witness the growing impacts of climate change, our response must be rooted in ethical leadership, interfaith solidarity, and a commitment to sustainable solutions.

The transition to renewable energy, protection of vulnerable communities, and responsible consumption are not just policy choices—they are moral imperatives.

When: Tuesday 22 April 2025

On 22 April 2025, Earth Day will turn 55. The Earth Day movement remains as dedicated today as it was back in 1970 to bringing everyone together for a better future.

Earth Day has united people around the world in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship.

This year, the Faith for Earth Coalition is pleased to lend their support to Earth Day’s mission embracing the theme “Our Power, Our Planet”, highlighting in particular, the moral and spiritual imperative for individuals, faith communities, and institutions to safeguard our common home.
