How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

New appointment for former NCCA General Secretary

The NCCA congratulates Rev Tara Curlewis on her new dual roles as the minister of the Church of Scotland’s St. Andrew’s Church and as the Reformed Ecumenical Officer for the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC).

Rev Curlewis, is an ordained minister in the Uniting Church in Australia, and has served as minister to several NSW congregations. She has also been president of the NSW Ecumenical Council and General Secretary of the National Council of Churches in Australia.

Tara will move to Rome, Italy, to begin her new posting in November 2023.  Employed by the Church of Scotland, her dual roles will have her ecumenical sails filled with engagement, dialogue and actions for peace and justice in the European space.

We pray for travel mercies as she leaves our shores, and for the Holy Spirit to steer her journey.
