How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1 November 1934 – 25 October 2021

The NCCA gives thanks to God for the life of Rev Clive Norton. He was an ecumenist with a deep sense of responsibility to act for social justice, peace and the environment.

Rev Clive worked with the NSW Ecumenical Council and served on the NCCA’s Glenburnie Program Committee from 2001-2018 and was also a long time supporter of Act for Peace (NCCA’s international humanitarian agency).

His ecumenical work goes back to the early 1960’s when he served as  Secretary, N.S.W. Committee of Australian Council of Churches, having been brought from the UK many years earlier to help lead the Ecumenical Movement.

May he rest easy in grace and love.
