The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2025

Christians in the Northern Hemisphere have been celebrating the Week of Prayer, which will conclude on Saturday 25 January.

The Week of Prayer will be celebrated in Australia in the week between Ascension and Pentecost, 1 – 8 June 2025.

The World Council of Churches invites Churches and Christian communities to make use of the many resources that have been prepared for the Week of Prayer. This includes resources in multiple languages, a child-friendly version entitled “Praying for Togetherness to a God of Togetherness”  and also the reading plan on the YouVersion’s Bible. App.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2025 resources were prepared by the brothers and sisters of the monastic community of Bose in northern Italy and have been published jointly by the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and the World Council of Churches.
