Gaza - 6 months on

7 April 2024 marks six months since the conflict in Gaza began. 

The human cost of this tragedy is enormous, with tens of thousands of lives lost and over 1.7 million people forcibly displaced.

Permanent Ceasefire urgently needed to ease suffering in Gaza

The National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA) has released a Media Statement renewing its call for peace in Gaza.

The NCCA  supports the Australian Government’s call for an immediate and sustainable ceasefire.

On Hamas Israel Armed Conflict

The NCCA President, on behalf of National Church Leaders, has released a Public Statement regarding the armed conflict in Israel and Palestine. 

There is an ecumenical prayer vigil across the globe on the 24th of every month, that will continue until we all can celebrate a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
