The Australian Student Christian Movement (ASCM) seeks a new National Director to play a vital role in taking the movement forward.
Do you have a heart for working with students of all ages, enjoy building respect and cooperation amongst people of a variety of Christian faith traditions, and are passionate about a Christ-centred approach to life and faith?

“We Dream of a New Time of Faith, Justice and Peace”
ASCM is a national Christian organisation working to build a community of open, active, critical and ecumenical faith, primarily among university students.
ASCM was founded in 1896 as the Australian affiliate of the World Student Christian Federation. Although they are now small compared to earlier times, their work to bring the gospel values of faith, justice and peace to the higher education community remains as vital as ever. ASCM is an inclusive organisation, welcoming members with many different backgrounds and points of view, with an emphasis on respectful dialogue. They are keen to flow with new vigour and impact.
ASCM National Executive Committee and local members regularly hold discussions on topics related to social justice, theology and what it means to be Christian amidst the challenges of the 21st century world.
LEADERSHIP TEAM
The National Director works in a team with the ASCM National Executive Committee, including the Chairperson, Finance Director, Secretary, WSCF Liaison Officer, Trustees of the ASCM Centennial Trust Fund and other members.

The position is home-based, with some in-person meetings required. The position is offered on the basis of mutual review after one year, with the option of renewing.
