14 - 20 October 2018
Reduce poverty and hardship by taking part in an activity organised by others or organize an activity yourself.
Activities such as conferences, seminars, forums, performances, media events etc are always great. Maybe even invite your local MP or Mayor to attend.
ORGANISE AN ACTIVITY DURING ANTI-POVERTY WEEK THIS YEAR 14-20 OCTOBER 2018
The aim of Anti-Poverty Week is to:
- Strengthen public understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty and hardship around the world and in Australia; and
- Encourage research, discussion and action to address these problems, including action by individuals, communities, organisations and governments.
Everyone is encouraged to help reduce poverty and hardship by organizing an activity during the Week.
Please use the 'tell us about your activity' page to demonstrate how many people in Australia care about this issue.
Resources including posters, flyers, postcards and material for newsletters and Websites can be found on the website's promotional materials page or click on the links below.
