International Day of Peace Interfaith Prayer Service
You are warmly invited to join the 20th Interfaith Prayer Service celebrating the International Day of Peace.
It seems it started the other day. But we have journeyed together as God’s people from different faith traditions for twenty long years. I thank you for your love, prayers and support to make it possible. Here’s the details of the service.
When: Thursday 21 September at 11:00 am AEST
Where: Knox Cultural Centre, Knox Grammar School, 2 Borambil Street, Wahroonga, NSW 2076 (nearest Train Station - Warrawee)
Keynote Speaker: Rev Simon Hansford, Moderator of the Uniting Church in Australia, NSW and ACT Synod.

Raising Peace Festival
You're invited to join ‘Raising Peace’ in their online peace festival, which returns to celebrate the International Day of Peace for 2023.
For three days from 21-23 September you will be able to explore a series of speakers and workshops discussing the ever more important topic of how we can contribute to a peaceful world.
Explore:
- Personal peace: How can you cultivate peace in your own life?
- Public peace: What can we do to create more peaceful communities?
- Political peace: Getting involved in shifting the political discource around peace and conflict
The First Nations Stream this year focuses on the coming Referendum on the Voice and the Uluru Statement as an instrument of peacemaking.
Militarisation will continue to be explored and time will be made to celebrate the great work on peace being done from around the country.
