World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, 30 July 2024
In a statement released on 30 July, the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) General Secretary Dr Mathews George Chunakara, called on churches in Asia to
“sensitise and mobilise their communities and maximise their resources to save children from the inhumane conditions of human trafficking.”
The theme for World Day against Trafficking in Persons-2024 is "Leave No Child Behind in the Fight Against Human Trafficking”. This theme aims to raise awareness of children's heightened vulnerability to trafficking and stimulate urgent action to stop child trafficking.

Korea Peace Action Day - 27 July 2024
CCA's General Secretary, reaffirms the CCAs endorsement of the Korean churches' plea for a lasting peace agreement to supplant the 1953 armistice.
“Every effort towards preventive diplomacy through meaningful dialogue will defuse military tensions and reduce nuclear risks.” Dr Mathews George Chunakara
Through a video-recorded message shared on the occasion of the 71st Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and the observance of Korea Peace Action Day organised by the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) and Korea Peace Action, the CCA General Secretary commended the enduring efforts of the Korean churches and noted that the Peace Rally scheduled
