Act for Peace

The Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI)

7

The EAPPI program is coordinated by the World Council of Churches and brings international volunteers to the West Bank.

Volunteers from around the world spend three months living alongside communities under military occupation in Palestine and Israel as Ecumenical Accompaniers (EAs). You can volunteer to become and EA.

As a volunteer Ecumenical Accompaniers (EA) your role is to provide a protective presence for families at risk of harassment; monitor human rights abuses; and, on your return to Australia, use your firsthand experience to advocate for international pressure on decision makers to comply with humanitarian law and to find long-term solutions to the conflict.

Thanks to your generous support of EAPPI, the presence of Ecumenical Accompaniers (EAs) has had a significant impact on the lives of those living in the West Bank. The work still continues and gifts to the EAPPI program are always welcome.  Call now to make a donation - Free call: 1800 025 101
