International aid partners express concern
This summer has been one of the most painful seasons on record for Australians as our drought affected land is ravaged by fire. The NCCA and Act for Peace are standing with you and pray that you and your loved ones are safe.
Over the years, many of you have supported the Act for Peace projects that offer aid to people around the world affected by conflict and disaster. Many of these project partners are now expressing their concern for you. We share a message from OfERR, our partner in India and Sri Lanka who together we have been supporting for over 30 years.
Words cannot express how sorry we are about the recent Bushfire in Australia. Your loss is huge, and we can only imagine the fear and pain you feel.
Our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and our deepest sympathy to the many families who have lost their homes and livelihoods. We also want to commend the firefighters who have given their time to the noble cause of saving lives.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those across Australia who are continuing to face the devastating fires that have been raging for months.
In this time of great hardship caused by the ruthless bush fires, on behalf of Refugees in India Refugee Returnees in Sri Lanka and the OfERR family, we would like to convey our solidarity and pray for quick recovery from the effects of this disaster.
This outpouring of compassion is a humbling reminder that we are all in this together.
We are praying for our country, for rain, for those who are grieving and those who are living in fear. We also pray for those in leadership, that they would have our Lord’s wisdom as they make decisions that affect us now and our future, and courage to address the root causes of our drought and the fires and to make the significant changes required to protect our environment in the future.
We’d love to be able to pray for you personally. Please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you have any prayer requests that you would like to share with us. It would be our privilege to pray for you.
Thank you,
