Healing Memories, Making History:
Genuine Encounters in the Present will Redeem our Past for a Different Future
Sunday 28 July, Parramatta NSW
This event brings together Jews, Christians and Muslims to acknowledge our unique bond through our common ancestor, the Prophet Abraham, while accounting for our differences through dialogue and friendship.
International keynote speaker, Rev Fr Diego Sarrió Cucarella, MAfr, PhD, Rector of the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies in Rome, will deliver a presentation titled, “The Abrahamic Religions: Shedding Past Polemics, Forging New Paradigms“.
Joining Fr Diego Sarrió is a panel of local experts from the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religions. They will stimulate discussion by responding to the keynote address and answering questions from the audience. All attendees will be able to participate through asking questions, group discussions and a plenary.
The Conference moderator is popular former ABC broadcaster of The Religion Report and Sunday Nights, John Cleary.
Further conversation and connection among delegates, hosts, speaker, moderator and panelists over light refreshments is an integral part of the program.
