Calling for an Economy of Life in a Time of Pandemic - a Joint Message from the WCC, WCRC, LWF, and CWM
The current Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted every aspect of our lives in a world already plagued with immense human suffering. In response the World Council of Churches (WCC), the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC), the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), and the Council for World Mission (CWM) convened an e-conference under the theme, “Economy of Life in a time of Pandemic”, on 17 and 24 April 2020.

In a joint letter to foreign ministers that are part of the European Union, the World Council of Churches (WCC) and Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) appealed for a firm and principled stance by the European Union against any annexation by Israel of occupied Palestinian territory in the West Bank.
