36 groups needed to get to 100 by Refugee Week!
We’re a month out from World Refugee Day on 20 June which means one month until CSRA wrap up the 100 Groups, 100 Days campaign.
The CRSA team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has so far been involved in this campaign - for sharing your personal stories on community sponsorship, encouraging friends and neighbours to form a group, for your feedback and receptiveness to the initiative.
The CSRA team has already seen a significant uptake in interest from groups of everyday Australians who want to welcome and support refugee newcomers. But there is still a final push needed to get over the finish line.

Print and distribute the flyers linked above around your local community.
It's simple and effective. Think community centres, libraries, supermarket notice boards, places of worship, schools, clubs and bookshops. They could end up in the hands of someone interested in supporting a refugee newcomer.

Online Ecumenical Service in Refugee Week. All welcome!
Members of the Australian Churches Refugee Taskforce (ACRT) are working on an online ecumenical service for Refugee Week.
Peter Arndt (Director, Office for Justice, Ecology and Peace, Australian Catholic Bishops Commission for Social Justice, Mission and Service), Rev Deacon Sandy Boyce (Victorian Council of Churches), and Major Karen Elkington (Salvation Army Asylum Seekers Support Services) are planning the service, which will also be available to download.
The ecumenical service will include prayers, shared experiences by those who have been refugees, music and readings.
