CCA congratulates His Beatitude Dr Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan
On the occasion of His Beatitude Dr Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan’s enthronement as the Malankara Mar Thoma Metropolitan on Saturday 14 November 2020, the General Secretary of the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) Dr Mathews George Chunakara extended the CCA’s “hearty congratulations, prayers, and best wishes.”

Asian Ecumenical Institute (AEI)–2020
Week One
38 selected students from the Christian Conference of Asia’s (CCA) member constituencies came together online for the month-long training session. In the first week they were challenged by the AEI lessons to broaden their perspectives and were refreshed in their understanding of ecumenism, mission, witness, and evangelism in a multi-religious Asia.

Week Two
The second week of the AEI–2020 enabled students to reflect on the interrelated aspects of ecumenism and its manifestations in the real world. The 38 students affirmed the importance of collaborative action and pledged the application of ecumenism to combat several issues that plague the world today.
Dr Dietrich Werner, Senior Theological Adviser for Ecumenical Education and Research of Bread for the World in Germany took two sessions on Keeping Ecumenism, Ecology, and Economics together: Kairos for Creation in Asia, and Diakonia and Development in Restoring the Creation, which focused on eco-theology and ecumenical action. Dr Werner explained the ramifications of climate change and its impacts in Asia.
