75th Anniversary of Christmas Bowl
All welcome!
In 1949, Rev Frank Byatt placed a Bowl of Remembrance on his Christmas table and asked his loved ones to contribute a gift that would go to support people in crisis around the world because of conflict or disaster. That simple act has grown into an important ecumenical activity during the Advent season. Churches include the Christmas Bowl as part of Advent services, and families place a bowl on their Christmas table. The funds raised support humanitarian programs here in Australia and overseas.
