Common Grace have announced the appointment of their new CEO: Scott Sanders.NCCA is particularly pleased to hear of Scott’s appointment as his role was seed funded by the NCCA Glenburnie Program.
Scott previously worked for Agency and World Vision and brings to the organistation his strong theological credentials, including a degree from Morling College, and a deep passion and love for the Australian Church to live out its call to love, serve and defend the vulnerable and marginalised in our community.
Scott takes the reigns from Founding Director Jarrod McKenna, who will continue his involvement with Common Grace in an advisory role, whilst working in the Middle Eastern arm of World Vision International.
Common Grace, which was launched in November 2014, describes itself as a movement of Christians who are passionate about Jesus and justice.
The rapid growth of the organisation is inspiring with membership climbing to 23,000 in the two years since its launch. Common Grace is currently running campaigns around social justice issues including: people seeking asylum; caring for the earth; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; domestic and family violence; gambling; and community cohesion.
