Congratulations to the winners of the ARPA Awards for Excellence for 2018
Publication of the year was awarded to The Salvation Army's Others magazine and the NZ Baptist magazine received the Gutenberg Award.
The Australian Religious Press Association held their annual conference, Communicating Hope and Trust in a Public Faith, in
September 2018 at the Novotel Hotel, Brisbane QLD.
ARPA awards are presented each year for excellence in religious journalism and publishing in 23 categories, such as Best News Story, Best Layout, Best Photograph, Best Ecumenical Story, Best Social Justice Story, to name a few. These are judged by leading professional journalists and awarded at a dinner at the annual conference. The Presidential award, the Gutenberg, is presented to a person or publication for overall excellence in religious communication. A total of 312 entries were received for the 2018 round.
