St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Cathedral Sydney, recently celebrated the Holy Ordination of Rev. Fr. Thomas Varghese, who was raised to the order of Cor-Episcopa.

Rev. Fr. Thomas Varghese was ordained by His Grace, Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros - the Diocesan Bishop, at the Divine service.
The auspicious occasion took place at St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Cathedral, on Saturday, 24th September 2022 and was followed by a felicitation meeting, held at St. Marks Coptic Orthodox College.
The General Secretary of the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA), Liz Stone, was in attendance to pass on felicitations on behalf of the Council.
Also in attendance to give felicitations to Very Rev Fr Thomas Vargehese with HG Dr Yuhanon Mar Diascoros (Diocesan Metropolitan) presiding were, HE Bishop Anba Daniel (Bishop & Abbot of St Shenouda Monastery Coptic), Very Rev Fr Dr Shenouda Mansour (General Secretary, NSW Ecumenical Council), Fr Eapen Mathew (Vicar, Bethel Mar Thoma Church Sydney), Fr Sujit Solomon David (Vicar, Church of South India, Sydney), Mr Ramanand N Garge (Director SVCC, Consulate General of India, Sydney).
The NCCA was pleased to be a part of this joyous and colourful ceremony. We pray that God will to continue to bless the Indian Orthodox Church and newly ordained Cor-Episcopa, Very Rev Fr Thomas Vargehese.
