First Nations - events in Adelaide
Three significant events are listed below. The events offer great opportunity for denominational First Nations people to gather at this significant time.
If you both know of any First Nations leaders who may be interested in attending, across the ecumenical community, please pass on the following information.
Indigenous Christian Leaders Retreat
An invitation from Rev’d Professor Vicky Balabanski, Principal of Uniting College of Leadership & Theology, regarding an Indigenous Christian Leaders’ Retreat.
When: Sunday 16 October - Wed 19 October 2022
Where: Nunyara Conference Centre, 5 Burnell Dr, Belair SA 5052
This is an opportunity for Leaders to gather, yarn and listen together, around Voice and Treaty, focus on their own work and theology, and also engage with Professor Anne Pattel-Gray, Professor of Indigenous Studies/Head of School.
Professor Emeritus Norm Habel, Rev’d Professor Vicky Balabanski, Principal of Uniting College of Leadership & Theology, and Rev Anne Hewitt, General Secretary & Executive Director CTSA will help facilitate morning and afternoon sessions, and evening yarning around the campfire.
Please share this across First Nations leaders in your denomination. We pray this offers space together. Support from the Denomination regarding costs for travel and accommodation would be very helpful.
