The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has been visiting Australia since 4 October 4, his final appointment will take place tomorrow, 19 October 2024. 

As part of the celebrations, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has visited Sydney and Melbourne.

We think of our Greek community as His All-Holiness returns home. May his journey be blessed.

Many gala events and ceremonies were scheduled into the Patriarch's visit, along with the opportunity of blessing the Greek diaspora community. In Australia.

While here, His All-Holiness was awarded and honorary doctorate degree from the Notre Dame University in Sydney, where he gave an address entitled  “The Need for Dialogue Today.”  Read more on WCC website - Ecumenical Patriarch addresses “The Need for Dialogue Today” | World Council of Churches (oikoumene.org)

Of the many events scheduled, the NCCA General Secretary attended two Sydney events where it was evident that these functions were truly Ecumenical.
