World Council of Churches Online prayer service -World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel: 14 September 2020
An online morning prayer hosted by the World Council of Churches (WCC) on 14 September was specially focused on the World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel, observed this year from 13-21 September.
The theme for the week this year is “Creative Solidarity in Common Fragility.” The WCC is inviting member churches and all people of good to view the service online to hear prayers, songs, and Biblical readings that reflect on the vital importance of realising peace in the region.

Jerusalema", the prayer that became a summer hit
Are you in the mood for an uplifting, lighthearted moment or two?
Jerusalema is a prayer for the protection of Jerusalem in the Zulu language which has evolved into a global "dance challenge".
The song was written in December 2019 by a 25 year old South African named Nomcebo Zikode.

During this week which includes the International Day of Prayer for Peace on 21 September, church organisations, congregations, and people of faith are encouraged to bear a common witness by participating in worship services, educational events, and acts of support in favour of peace and justice for Israelis and Palestinians.
