'What does it mean to be ecumenical'
The NSW Ecumenical Council’s Theological Reflection Commission (TRC) will hold a half-day conference on Saturday, 9 October, 10:00-12:30. The conference will be entitled ‘What does it mean to be ecumenical’? In the uncertain COVID context, the conference will take place via Zoom.
When: Saturday, 9 October, 10:00-12:30 (AEST)
The format of the conference is as follows:
- A panel on the e-book A Celebration of Ut unum sint: The 25th Anniversary (Sydney: NSW EC’s TRC, 2020), involving speakers who were not involved in the project. The panel will be moderated by Diane Speed and will entail contributions by Myung Hwa Park and Alex Nelson.
- A panel debating various challenges currently faced by the ecumenical movement and hopes for the future. The panel will be moderated by Doru Costache, and will entail contributions by Josephine Inkpin, Michael Jensen, and Brooke Prentis.
Once the speakers are confirmed, a flyer of the event will be circulated.
