Trek for Refugees

Trek for Refugees with Act for Peace

On Act for Peace's Trek for Refugees (April 21-25, 2024), you will spend five unforgettable days trekking the iconic Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park (Flinders Ranges)  in South Australia. This is your chance to walk in solidarity with refugees and people who have been forcibly displaced around the world.

The journey will be a physically demanding, emotionally challenging and scenically spectacular one. Not only is the Flinders Ranges home to dramatic gorges, stunning rock formations, and vast expanses of open land, it also home to amazing native wildlife. The geology of the Flinders Ranges and fossils which can be observed will make this experience truly unforgettable.

Most importantly, the money you raise on your Trek for Refugees will go towards supporting initiatives that reduce displacement and create safety, dignity and belonging for uprooted people.

With more than 100 million people currently displaced, every step you take on your incredible journey represents thousands of people who experienced unimaginable difficulty as they are forced to flee their homes.

A trek with Act for Peace will also offer you the time and space away from your day-to-day to walk in solidarity with — and reflect on — these incredible people and their remarkable journeys.

Together, they raised more than $80,000 as they walked in solidarity with the more than 100 million refugees and displaced people around the world. Credit – Alex Longstaff/Act for Peace
