The Australian Government has finally passed the Modern Slavery Act legislation.

Australian companies will now be prevented from profiting from modern slavery. This landmark legislation has been made in reaction to a series of scandals in the last few years, revealing forced labour in the supply chains of some of Australia’s biggest brands.

Reconciliation as mission for Australian churches

The Season of Advent for Western Churches begins this Sunday, 2 December. This is a time of waiting and preparation. It is a time of reflection and prayer where we focus on the themes of Hope, Love, Joy and Peace, a prelude to the Feast of the Nativity on Christmas Day.

ICAN have launched their online art auction to raise funds for their work to raise awareness and build support for the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The auction began on 14 November and runs through to 10 December 2018. The day that exactly one year ago ICAN was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo.
