Bringing hope and healing to the world through the Christmas Bowl
Christmas is the time that we celebrate God’s gift to us, the arrival of His son Jesus. Since 1949 Australian Christians have worked together through the Christmas Bowl to respond to Christ’s call to feed the hungry, heal the sick and welcome the stranger.
We believe that when people all over the world work together, big changes really are possible. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to act in partnership with other passionate Christians, like you, across the globe to achieve safety, justice and dignity in communities threatened by conflict and disaster. We don’t think there is any task more important.
The Act for Peace team would like to say a huge thank you to all the supporters and churches that help to make the Christmas Bowl a success. Thanks to your support, last year the Christmas Bowl raised over $2 million to support people threatened by conflict and disaster. Thank you so much.
For the past 68 years, your support through the Christmas Bowl has brought hope and healing to people affected by conflict and disaster around the world.
We look forward to sharing the launch of the Christmas Bowl 2017 with you soon!
Become a Christmas Bowl speaker
The speaker’s program is an opportunity for individuals to use their public speaking skills to help make a difference and raise support for the Christmas Bowl. We have found that speakers have made a huge difference through this program by engaging with churches and community groups and creating a personal connection between congregations and the Christmas Bowl appeal.
Church groups appreciate someone taking the time to talk to them about why this appeal is so important. This special connection a speaker brings often leads to more generous gifts, and allows us to fund larger projects for vulnerable people around the world.
