Message from the General Secretary
As we enter the second half of 2017, we are very aware of transitions. As we enter the second half of 2017, we are very aware of transitions.
We remember Archbishop Paul Saliba who led the Antiochian Church in Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines for nineteen years. We give thanks for his life and service of the People of God and pray that the Triune God in whom he has placed his hope receives him into his everlasting, loving presence.

Uniting Church in Australia celebrates 40 years
Wednesday 22 June 2017 marks 40 years since The Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational Churches came together to become the Uniting Church in Australia.
'The Uniting Church declares its desire to enter more deeply into the faith and mission of the Church in Australia, by working together and seeking union with other Churches.' The Basis of Union [revised 1992]
Message from the General Secretary
Following the celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit and the feast of Trinity, the church has entered a time that is named variously the time after Pentecost or Ordinary time. Within this time, we have much to celebrate. The Uniting Church in Australia is celebrating 40 years of its existence. We are commemorating with the Lutheran Church 500 years of the Reformation. As we honour these two anniversaries, we give thanks for God’s Spirit working within these two churches. But even more we give thanks for the blessings that we have all received through them.
