Blue Knot Day is the Blue Knot Foundation's national awareness day celebrated in October every year. On this day, all Australians are asked to unite in support of the 5 million Australian adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse.
22 October: Anniversary of National Apology to Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse
As the first anniversary of the historic apology approaches, the Uniting Church Assembly is encouraging its church communities and congregations to mark the occasion with a Liturgy of Acknowledgement and Lament on or near 20 October.

“Do you love me?” - It’s a question about global warming
World Council of Churches general secretary Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, visiting New York just before the Climate Action Summit organized by the United Nations, asked this in the sermon he gave at Marble Church in New York City on 22 September.
Rev Tveit reflected, "children and young people are asking this question in a new way. 'Do you care for our future? Do you love us? Do you love me?'".

The NCCA Safer Churches 9 Conference was held at the Mercure Hotel, Brisbane QLD on 17 - 18 September 2019. The focus of the Conference was on ensuring that Australian churches are informed by key leaders who are experts in child safeguarding in Australia.

Advocacy on behalf of Ms Veloso continues, with the upcoming hearing on Thursday 26 September in the Supreme Court of the Philippines. This could potentially be the last hearing against Veloso’s alleged recruiters. As she languishes in an Indonesian prison, her testimony has yet to be included in her trial.
