Online Communication
We all use technology in some form to communicate every day. Our goal is not to ban technology, but to use technology as safely, accountable and transparently as possible.
Leaders should avoid using social media to communicate individually with young people under their care. Group-based communication should be undertaken with the approval of the ministry leader and young persons’ parents.

Cyber Safety
Having an understanding of cyber safety is increasingly important as our churches seek to minister effectively to our local communities. However, it can also be used to harm children, young people and vulnerable people, in situations of family violence or bullying.
Deadline for applications Monday 10 July.
The Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) is holding this year's Asia Mission Conference (AMC) in Yangon, Myanmar from 11 to 17 October 2017. Applications are invited from young Christians belonging to it's member churches and ecumenical councils in Asia to serve as stewards for this conference.
The day after the Census results, I was at St Matthew’s East Geelong. The Revd Andrew Grills told us about a young woman recently converted, now fundraising for better care for homeless people.
This young woman was so astonished by the difference knowing Jesus makes, she couldn’t but tell others. That included folk at the fast-food outlet where she works, especially her manager. With her encouragement, he started coming to Church. He kept coming, even when she went over-seas. (Andrew thought he might have been coming for romantic reasons!)
