National Study of Family Violence in faith groups
The Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia, Archbishop Philip Freier, announced that the Church will be conducting Australia’s first national research into family violence within faith communities. The Study will investigate and discuss the prevalence, experience and impact of family violence.
Representatives of Christian churches are urging Christians to celebrate September as the “Season of Creation” in an effort to raise awareness about climate change.
1 September was proclaimed a Day of Prayer for Creation by the Orthodox in 1989 and repeated by Pope Francis in 2015.

Living and Walking in the Holy Spirit: called to transforming discipleship
In the cold but pleasantly sunny surrounds of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, Canberra approximately 60 people from 11 member churches came together for the 2019 Triennial Forum through prayer and reflection, dialogue and discernment. We gathered to renew the purpose of the Council and provide direction on Council activities and issues of focus for the next three years.
