Asian Ecumenical Institute (AEI) – 2020
The AEI is an annual month-long ecumenical formation training course organised by the CCA, aimed at training young prospective Asian church and ecumenical leaders.
2020 Theme: ‘God, Renew Us in Your Spirit and Restore the Creation’ - the theme of the CCA General Assembly
When: 13 August –11 September 2020 (arrival on 13 August and departure on 11 September)
Where: Kerala, India, (in conjunction with the 15th General Assembly of CCA)

Taking it to the Top
In November, Act for Peace joined with other humanitarian organisations and Australian Christians to meet with Australian politicians and advocate for commitment to the world’s displaced and underprivileged people through Micah Challenge’s Voices for Justice event.
230 Christians and visiting Pacific leaders at this event made a big impression on our government.
Mary Jane Veloso's traffickers have been convicted
Many ecumenical organisations supported this ongoing campaign, asking the Supreme Court of the Philippines to allow Mary Jane to testify against her illegal recruiters. The NCCA also participated, adding to the many Letters of support for Mary Jane, which were sent to the Supreme Court of the Philippines and coordinated by The Interfaith Network for the Rights of Migrants (INFORM).
In a separate case, witnesses have proven the traffickers to be guilty of illegal recruitment.
